The Ezra LeMarpe Sderot Medical Rehabilitation Center
There are an estimated 300-400 severely injured people from the Sderot region, suffering from various injuries including neurological, spinal and orthopedic injuries, soft tissue damage (muscles, tendons, ligaments), amputations, and a greater susceptibility to diseases and mental illnesses. In partnership with the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defense, The Ezra LeMarpe Sderot Medical Rehabilitation Center (“ELM”) treats the wounded. We are gearing up to intake 120 wounded over the next 12 months. To do so, we need your support of $750,000 to enable the expansion of medical staff, the purchase of additional medical equipment, and cover operational costs that are not included in the health basket of services for our wounded. We have matching sources of income from Government ministries and healthcare providers in Israel. Currently the center treats a total of 155 patients on a weekly basis and is expected to grow to the maximum capacity of 400 patients by the end of year.
