The ‘Dovik Foundation’ was established by Chana & Yossi Lerba in 2010 in memory of their son Dov (Dovik), who fell in 1994 while serving in the IDF. The goal of the foundation is to be a driving force of good in the world mimicking Dov’s kind and caring nature proactively stepping up to help anyone in need.
The Foundation charter allows us to support many different causes such as:
- The needy, victims of hostile actions, the sick, and their families, educational institutions, and special education institutions.
- Psychological Mental and wellbeing assistance to strengthen people suffering from traumatic events.
- Psychological, economic, and legal assistance to women suffering from physical and mental abuse.
Since October 7th the Foundation has assisted with supporting over 50 different initiatives.
Our current focus and flagship program for 2024-2025 is delivering mental and wellbeing programs to people suffering from the impact of the current war in Israel with a focus on reducing overall PTSD within society and the family unit specifically. We have Significantly invested ($50,000) in the construct of the program as well as successfully piloting it with over 60 attendances across 12 groups. There has been an overwhelming positive response from the participants as well as ongoing registration request to participate in the program hence we are looking to fundraise to keep the program running. Come and join us make a lasting impact that will impact generations.
