Alumim Children’s Home and Social Rehabilitation Center for Jewish Children was founded in 2007 in the picturesque suburbs of Zhitomir, West Ukraine, by the Federation of Jewish Communities of the CIS and generous support of the Keshet Fund and Leviev Fund.
Alumim is a haven for Jewish children from dysfunctional homes including orphans, destitute, abandoned, and abused children of all ages.
Alumim’s stunning, brand-new dormitory, devoted faculty of teachers, counselors, and psychologists all ensure the children’s physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. The warmth, rich Jewish culture, and outstanding physical conditions guarantee disadvantaged Jewish children stability, confidence, and hope for a better future.
Alumim also offers numerous programs to accommodate destitute children in the Jewish community. Fun-filled summer camps, extra-curricular activities, medical assistance, meals-on-wheels, and financial assistance all seek to provide help and support to the maximal number of Jewish children.
Alumim is not an orphanage, but a home, a place filled with warmth of life that inspires Jewish children to soar, succeed, and achieve the very best that life has to offer.
