Kramer family Hachnasas Kalah

//Kramer family Hachnasas Kalah

Hi,

My Name Is Shoshana Kramer and I am a mother of 10. It wasn’t easy, but we were able to marry off our first 4 kids. The first three weddings were memorably simchas for all of the right reasons, but the fourth wedding, for my son Avraham, was not. Our photographer took great pictures but even he couldn’t make up for the fact that my Husband wasn’t in even one of them. Because that night, he was having brain surgery to remove a tumor.

If you look closely at the family wedding portrait, you don’t see joy in my eyes, you see fear. The surgery was a dangerous procedure and I could get the call any minute that my husband hadn’t made it. B’H he didn’t pass away but the surgery was a failure and a second operation was needed. He is still suffering from extreme headaches, weakness and is unable to function at all. He used to be a Cheder Rebbe, but today he cannot work. I am also unable to work because I am required to take him from appointment to appointment. In addition, my son just had a kidney transplant and needs me to take him also to appointments and administer his medication. We no longer have any income and we are still paying off the debts from Avraham’s wedding. Some of their medicine is not covered by national insurance and must be paid out of pocket

B’’H, my fifth child, Gitty, just became a Kallah. With everything that has happened to us, we have no money to give her even a basic wedding. Gitty has suffered a lot in the last two years and not being able to get married would devastate her. We need help to pay for it. This is not just a mitzvah of Hachnasas Kallah, which rewards its performers in both this world and the next, but also pikuach nefesh. My husband has a weak brain and too much stress can kill him. If the wedding date passes and Gitty is still not married, I am worried what will become of my husband. In the merit of helping us, may Hashem grant you abundance in parnassah and the ability to marry off all of your children with ease.
