Chai Foundation funds will be used to support the continued development and completion of the Sheinfeld Senior Citizens Center in Efrat.
The project is intended to benefit local senior citizens, including older residents who may be socially isolated, widowed, living alone, or in need of greater community connection and support. The Center will provide a welcoming and accessible space where seniors can gather, participate in activities, enjoy refreshments, and remain active members of the community.
Funds will be used for project-related expenses that help complete and improve the Center’s social and communal spaces. This may include furnishings, outdoor seating, shade and pergola-related improvements, coffee cart infrastructure, landscaping, access improvements, and other items needed to make the space comfortable, functional, and inviting for regular senior use.
The goal is to create a dignified community hub that strengthens social connection, reduces loneliness, and improves quality of life for Efrat’s senior residents. All funds received from Chai will be used for approved project expenses, with proper records, invoices, and receipts maintained for accountability and reporting.
